September 4th was a news-packed day for Hip-Hop, for the better or the worse. Virginia rapper Pusha T, signed to G.O.O.D. Music, announced yesterday while performing with Jay-Z at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania that Kanye West produced his entire upcoming album from top to bottom, and the three have redone the album three times to perfect it. Similar to how Kanye West re-did his 2007 hit “Stronger” over 50 times, he and Pusha T scrapped the whole album twice in order to have every aspect of it how they’d like.

In more somber news, New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne was reported having multiple seizures in his hotel room in Chicago, and was found unconscious. He was taken to a hospital, and there’s been no news after that. The 34-year-old rapper suffers from epilepsy, and was due to perform in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
This isn’t Wayne’s first rodeo with seizures, as in June 2016, he suffered two minor seizures, and tweeted out this to his fans who had been supporting him:
thanx for all the prayers!! I love y'all

To end on a happier note, today is the two-year anniversary of the release of what I believe is the greatest trap album of all time, Travis Scott’s “Rodeo”. The 16-track record included popular songs such as “Oh My Dis Side,” “3500,” “90210, ” and “Antidote,” and included features from Quavo, Future, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Young Thug, and many other popular and talented Hip-Hop artists and singers.
