Written by: ZiggyZag
Welcome ladies and gentleman to this weeks RAW recap coming to us from Pittsburgh, PA  as we continue the road towards Summerslam. Set for tonight’s show is Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat Match and Kurt Angle’s “son” Jason Jordan will be featured as a guest on MizTv. All that and more as we get set for the last RAW of July.
Let’s get right to it!
Before the show begins, we get a quick look at the chaos last week between Samoa Joe,Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns after Kurt Angle announced that all three men will be facing Brock Lesnar at Summerslam for the Universal Championship.
After the video and the intro theme for RAW, Pittsburgh’s own and RAW’s general manager Kurt Angle theme hits to a great reaction from the crowd as commentary welcomes us to RAW.
Kurt on the mic now welcoming us to the show as more positive reactions pour in. Kurt announces Big Show vs Big Cass for later on and says tonight’s MizTv hits home for him due to Jason Jordan being the guest. He then hypes up the Triple Threat and reminds us that today is the 21st anniversary of him winning a gold medal in the Olympics with a broken freakin’ neck. Kurt thanks the fans for sticking with him through the good and bad times before he gets ready to leave. Before he can,Brock Lesnar theme hits and here comes the Universal Champion along with Paul Heyman. Heyman grabs the mic and says he knows what Kurt is doing and that he’s figured out his “scam”. He knows Kurt is trying to take the Universal Championship away from Brock and asks why else would he put Brock up against the most stacked heavyweight division in WWE history? He gives props to Braun,Samoa Joe, and then Roman and says he(Kurt) must want Joe to be champ as a way to stick it to Brock. Heyman goes on and says if Brock loses,he’s gone from the WWE and Heyman is going with him. He then gives Kurt some news and vows that Brock isn’t losing to the “unstoppable” Braun Strowman,
“The Undertaker-retiring Roman Reigns” or “the cheap-shot” Samoa Joe cause at the end of the night there will be an announcement which will be, Brock is still champion. Brock and Paul then leave the ring as Kurt looks on before we cut backstage to see The Hardys getting ready to head out for their match next after our first commercial break.

Miz taunts Jason for a bit before praising his RAW debut last week and offers him deal to guide his career. Jason declines but Miz starts listing his accomplishments still trying to get Jason to join him but he declines again. Miz then asks Jason why would he need his help anyway due to his dad being the General Manager that can hand him opportunities? Jason shuts down his assumption and says he told Kurt that he didn’t want any special treatments. Miz continues to trash talk Jason and Kurt but Jason gets up and says Miz can say anything he wants but if he says one more thing about Kurt,he’s going to regret it. Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel try to step up to Jordan but The Miz holds them off and tries to cheap-shot Jason but he ducks and catches him with a Suplex that sends Miz into Dallas and Axel. Match grade: D-

After the match,Cass gets Enzo off his back and lays him out with a Big Boot. He says a few things to Enzo before noticing Big Show recovering in the corner. He runs towards Show but gets hit with a KO punch. After the replays air, we see Big Show helping Enzo up the ramp while the ref checks on Cass as RAW comes to an end.

Pretty cool RAW tonight aside from the main event. Show rating-B-

Not really a huge issue since I get what they’re doing with Cass and Big Show since Show is helping elevate the new guys coming in. I just don’t think the match should’ve been the main event especially with how it ended. Obviously the Triple Threat match should’ve been the main event but whatever. Speaking of the Triple Threat match, favorite match of the night followed by The Hardys taking on Gallows and Anderson. Still looking forward to see what the RAW side has planned for Summerslam for the rest of the roster since the Smackdown side seems to be on fire with their buildups. We shall see what goes down as the road towards Summerslam continues. Till next time folks.
