Raw Recap 7/24/2017

Written by: ZiggyZag

Welcome ladies and gentleman to this weeks RAW recap. Already announced for tonight's show live from Washington, DC is Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose taking on The Miz and his "Miztourage" in a two on three handicap match, Sasha Banks going toe to toe with Bayley in a number one contender match to see who faces RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss at Summerslam, and Finn Balor looking to get some retribution against Elias Samson in a No-DQ Match. All of that and more as the RAW roster continues the road to Summerslam.

Let's get right to it.

*Before the show begins, we get a quick look at last weeks main event between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe with Braun Strowman returning and causing havoc.

Kicking off the show is RAW's general manager and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
Kurt takes the mic and starts talking about his big secret from last week and how he was nervous. He notes that he's giving his "son" Jason Jordan an opportunity tonight and putting him in action. Kurt then switches the subject on last weeks number one contender match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe which ended in a no contest due to Braun Strowman. Kurt's about to announce his solution for Brock Lesnar's opponent at Summerslam but is interrupted by Braun Strowman. Braun takes the mic and says the next words out of Kurt's mouth better be his name or else. Braun makes a point by saying he won his match at Great Balls of Fire unlike Roman and Samoa Joe. Braun says he doesn't fear Brock and he will break him in half at Summerslam to become the new Universal Champion. Before Braun can go on or Kurt gives a response, Samoa Joe makes his way down to the ring. Joe says him and Braun haven't crossed paths yet and introduces himself. He says the only reason why he's not  knocking Braun's teeth out due to last week is because he stopped Roman from losing to him again. Joe tells Kurt that Roman and Braun should go to war while him and Brock face off again. Roman Reigns' theme hits and out comes the "Big Dog". Roman takes the mic and says Joe or Braun haven't done a thing since they've been here. Roman names some of his accomplishments like championship wins and Wrestlemania moments. Roman then says it's now time to show the world what he's about to do and charges at Joe but Kurt steps in-between them. Kurt calms things down and announces Braun,Joe, and Roman as Brock Lesnar's opponents for Summerslam. Kurt's theme plays as he's about to leave but Samoa Joe stops him, not agreeing with the decision but Kurt tells him that they're done and he leaves. Braun gets back on the mic and says he doesn't care how many people are involved, all he cares about is "piling bodies" Roman tells Braun to shut up and decks him with a right hand. Braun grabs Roman but Samoa Joe tries to help Roman out and ends up getting caught by Braun too. Roman and Joe fight Braun off and toss him out the ring. Both then throw Braun over the barricade as officials come out to stop things. Samoa Joe then decks Roman and a brawl is off between the two. The two continue the fight in the ring till Braun steps back in the picture and takes care of both men. Kurt calls for security but Braun makes quick and I mean quick work of them.

Samoa Joe takes advantage while Braun is distracted and locks in the Coquina Clutch till Kurt calls for the RAW roster to come out and help stop the madness. Reigns ends up spearing Braun,Joe, and knocking down a few wrestlers that were in the way. Braun somewhow gets back to his feet and takes care of Roman for good with a big powerslam. Braun stands tall while the remaining roster looks on.

Commentary then hypes up the show and announce that Finn Balor and Elias Samson are in action next.

She wants to know when is the focus going to be put on her since she started the women's revolution. She then says maybe if she dates Kurt's "son" she'll get noticed. Kurt isn't pleased with that remark and books Emma in a match with Nia Jax since she wants to prove herself. Kurt walks off as the camera cuts to Enzo Amore walking backstage heading out for his match till he's approached by the Big Show. Show asks Enzo if he really wants to do this? After the match, Seth and Dean celebrate and Seth sticks his fist out for a Shield bump like the old days but Dean just walks off leaving Seth alone and in disappoint as RAW comes to a close.

Well what a great RAW. Glad it was after that horrible PPV last night  That opening segment was CRAZY! Always down to see a good brawl if done right. That Fatal-4-Way at Summerslam is gonna be explosive. Match of the night for me goes to the ladies this week. I feel like Sasha and Bayley have the best chemistry on the roster between the women with Nikki Cross and Asuka down in NXT coming in second. These two have just clicked ever since the days in NXT and not once have I seen a flaw or been disappointed. Looks like they're still on board with Sasha turning heel so I'm interested to see how her heel role does on the main roster. All I can say is Summerslam is going to be a wild show for the RAW side… Hopefully Smackdown can get it together cause after last night man….  Anywho tonight's show gets a B+ from me. Be sure to catch Smackdown and 205Live tomorrow folks.

Till next time
