Welcome to this week’s RAW review ladies and gentleman. Already announced for tonight’s show is the return of Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to confront his opponent in four weeks at Great Balls of Fire Samoa Joe on his comments and attack on Paul Heyman last week. Also announced for tonight is a 2 out of 3 falls match for the RAW Tag Team Championships featuring defending champs Sheamus and Cesaro and The Hardys.
After a quick recap on Samoa Joe’s attack and Paul Heyman, Michael Cole welcomes us to the show live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA and right away, we are joined by Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. Paul wastes no time as he gets on the mic talking down on Joe and warning him of his client. Paul tells Joe that he’s a punk and that he won’t put Brock in the Coquina Clutch because he isn’t man enough. Samoa Joe’s theme hits and he walks out heading straight for the ring with no hesitation. He gets in the ring facing off with Brock and a brawl is on after Joe headbutts Brock. Back and forth blows between the two as the camera pans up to the top of the entrance ramp with RAW GM Kurt Angle calling officials out to help stop the brawl. Of course this doesn’t work as both guys fight them off before going back to fight each other. Kurt then calls for more help and out comes some of the locker room. They separate both men for a little while until Samoa Joe breaks free and nails Brock with a kick that sends him as well as some of the guys that were holding him back down. The guys that were holding Joe back pull him out the ring but Brock breaks free trying to go after him but is stopped. Fans chant “this is awesome” as Michael Cole hypes tonight’s show.
Back with our first match of the night as JoJo introduces Elias Samson. Elias graces us with a song about his opponent Dean Ambrose and Louisiana until Dean’s music hits.

Cedric tells Dar that he made it clear last week on 205 Live that he was done with him as well as he ratchet ex Alicia Fox. Norm has Alicia on facetime and she’s at home recovering from a neck injury. She says that Norm can make her feel better by beating Cedric tonight. Cedric says this ends tonight before walking off. Bray Wyatt’s graphic flashes across the screen as Bray gives us a brief promo before letting the crowd knows he’s here and he makes his way out to the ring. Bray tells us that anyone who blaspheme his name will be punished just like Seth Rollins. He goes on to trash talk Seth till Seth comes out. Seth wants to clear the air about Bray coasting him his match last week against Samoa Joe. He wonders if Bray did it because of Seth calling him names? Seth tells him that he was just telling the truth and that he’s by himself if wants Bray to prove him wrong. Bray tells Seth that he’s beneath and that he doesn’t want to fight him due to his powers being greater than Seth. Bray disappears and is shown on the big screen warning Seth by telling him that he might’ve slayed the king but a God lives on forever. He then tells Seth to run as his graphic flashes across the screen.
Backstage and we are joined by the lovely Charly Caruso who brings in The Hardys for an interview. They give Sheamus and Cesaro praise and tell them that they might be the bar but they’re gonna break the bar and win back the tag team titles. They walk off as we go into commercial.

Miz wants Slater to team with him tonight but Rhyno tells him that he already has a tag team partner. Miz tells Rhyno that he wasn’t talking to him and goes back to reason with Heath. Heath says he wants a title shot and Miz says he will if he joins him….eventually. Rhyno tells Miz once again the Heath already has a partner and that he needs to find one because he’s going to request a tag team match.
Back and we are joined by RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Alexa talks about her having to defend her title last week instead of celebrating her win last week. Nia Jax interrupts her before she can continue and says Alexa wasn’t forced to defend her title, she promised her. She steps to Alexa but she pleads with her and says their match was ruined by Mickie James and Dana Brooke. Alexa says they’re the real problem but Mickie’s theme plays and she heads down to the ring with Dana Brooke. They get in the ring and remind Alea about her comments last week about how they have a Nia Jax problem. Alexa once again tries to reason with Nia till the returning Emma interrupts her. Emma gets in the ring and says that it’s time for her to take her rightful place at the top of the women’s division. Alexa laughs and is about to address all the women in the ring but Sasha Banks comes out to a wonderful reaction from the crowd. She thanks them but asks can she talk to Alexa right quick. Sasha gets in the ring and tells Alexa that she has a ring full of women ready to go at it and decks her. We have a brawl on our hands as all the women start fighting with each other as RAW fades out to commercial. Back with six women’s tag action.

Big Show gets offended and tells Enzo that Cass is ” S-A-W-F-T.”
We get a quick look at tonight’s brawl between Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe before we cut to an interview with Joe. He pretty much makes it known to us that he’s gonna do the same thing again at Great Balls of Fire but he’s gonna lock him in the Coquina Clutch and walk out Universal champ.
Main event time
2 of 3 Falls Match for the RAW Tag Team Titles- Cesaro and Sheamus vs The Hardys
Match ends in a double count-out due to both teams brawling at ringside. Sheamus and Cesaro retain. Match grade- B+ *Wouldve been an A if it didn’t end by count-out. 1st fall: Sheamus and Cesaro, 2nd fall: The Hardys
Hardys celebrate in the ring as Sheamus and Cesaro head back up the ramp holding their belts in the air as tonight’s RAW comes to an end.
Overall show grade – B
Pretty decent RAW. Only complaint was that there wasn’t any text message mystery involving Kurt Angle and Corey Graves. Match of the night for me was the 2 of 3 Falls Match even though I wasn’t fond of the finish. I wonder what’s next for these two teams and interested to see what Roman is gonna say next week. Well that’s our show for the night folks, be sure to catch Smackdown and 205 Live tomorrow and also Money in the Bank this Sunday. Till next time folks.
