WWE honors the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces this Memorial Day

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to this weeks Memorial Day RAW recap live from Greenville, SC. Tonight’s episode is the final stop before Sunday’s PPV, Extreme Rules. Already announced for tonight is Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe and in the main event, Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins.

Kicking off our show is WWE’s own a-list couple, The Miz and Maryse out for MizTv. Miz promotes his match Sunday against Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship in which if Ambrose is disqualified, he will lose the championship. He talks down on Ambrose and shows a quick recap of his match against him from a few weeks back when he was disqualified. He then brings out Cesaro and Sheamus for his special guest for tonight to talk about their Steel Cage Match against The Hardys Sunday. Miz tells them that they’re the hardest workers in the biz and pretty much says that they were robbed at Wrestlemania due to The Hardys. Sheamus promises to break The Hardys and walk out with the Tag Team Championships Sunday. Miz goes on about Dean Ambrose till his theme song hits. The Intercontinental champ trash talks The Miz but quickly sees that he’s outnumbered with the guys in the ring and tells them that he’s crazy but not stupid. Out come the RAW Tag Team Champs The Hardys to even the odds as all three men rush the ring leading to our first match of the night.

Ambrose and The Hardys win via Twist of Fate/Swanton Bomb on The Miz.

After the replays of the match as Michael Cole hypes tonight’s show, Corey Graves attention is caught by something he’s reading something on his phone. He excuses himself as Michael and Booker T look on in confusion as Cole tells us about RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss presenting a “This Is Your Life” segment on Bayley.

Back from commercial as we see RAW GM Kurt Angle and Corey Graves trying to figure out what’s going on. Turns out, someone is trying to blackmail Kurt due to his performance so far as general manager. Corey tells him he’ll help out if he needs it and Kurt says that this can ruin him as we go back out to the ring for our next match.

Elias Samson vs. Zac Evans

Samson punishes Zac in typical jobber squash match fashion and wins via Snap Swinging Neckbreaker.

Back as we see Samoa Joe watching Finn Balor’s WWE24 special before Charly Caruso approaches him and asks him about tonight’s Triple Threat Match. Joe tells her he’s watching the special on Balor to study how to destroy him even more and that he knows Finn. He talks about Bray Wyatt until the Bray Wyatt graphic starts up and we see Bray now on the screen that Joe was looking at. Wyatt tells Joe that there’s only one that can defeat “the beast” which is him. He tells Joe and Finn as well as everyone else will give into their fears before the Wyatt graphic flashes taking us to our next match.

Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe

Winner: Samoa Joe after stealing the pin from Balor after he hit the Coup de Grace on Bray.

Cut backstage to a quick interview with Seth Rollins. Seth pretty much shares his history with Roman but says tonight he’s sending a message to everyone in the Fatal Five Way match come Sunday.

Back with our third match of the night.

Noam Dar vs Rich Swann

Swann gets the win via Phoenix Splash as him and Sasha celebrate after the match.

Quick reminder about our main event featuring Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns as we cut to commercial.

Back with The Revival being interview. They say that they’ll be back soon but get questioned about the mysterious attack on Enzo Amore and it is shown that they were backstage last week. Scott Dawson admits they were backstage but him and Wilder aren’t wasting time with Enzo and walk off.

Quick look at the Street Fight match last week on 205 Live between Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick. After highlights of that match, Big Cass is shown confronting Corey Graves about his comments last week on accusing him of attacking Enzo. Corey apologizes as we cut to commercial.

Back and we see trainers around Enzo Amore who has once again been attacked. Big Cass walks up and ask where The Revival is but RAW gm Kurt Angle tells him that it wasn’t them. Cass gets pissed as Kurt tells him to calm down as he is also upset but is going to figure this situation out.

Back with an angry Neville walking backstage following his loss. Charly Caruso approaches him reminding him that this is his first lost by submission and asks if he’s worried about his Submission Match Sunday. He storms off as we cut to another video promo from Goldust on R-Truth. Goldust says that the golden age is back but before he can continue, his promo is interrupted by R-Truth. Truth tells Goldust that’s he’s coming for him and that he’s gonna get got.

Main Event: Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns

Winner: Roman Reigns via Spear on Rollins.

Roman celebrates his victory while Seth recovers and looks on as commentary hypes up Extreme Rules one last time as tonight’s RAW comes to an end.

Final thoughts and grade for tonight’s show:

Show was pretty good tonight. Best match of the night for me was the Triple Threat between Balor, Joe, and Wyatt. Honestly didn’t have a problem with Roman Reigns getting the win nor do I have a problem with him at all. Makes since if you look at how Seth Rollins was the one who ended the brotherhood relationship during The Shield.

Can’t recall if Roman got the right revenge on him or not but nevertheless, tonight was a decent victory for him. Giving tonight’s show a A- only because of that Alexa Bliss and Bayley segment. Personally it wasn’t needed since we know about Bayley’s childhood and why she’s in the spot of being a wrestler in the first place. Would’ve better of putting her in a match against someone…. Speaking of which, where has Nia Jax been at? Guess we’ll see sooner or later. Maybe Sunday? Anyway folks, be sure to catch Smackdown and 205 Live tomorrow and Extreme Rules this Sunday. Till next time.
