Welcome ladies and gentlemen to this weeks RAW recap live from Grand Rapids. Tonight’s episode with feature Finn Balor taking on Karl Anderson and more as we continue the road towards Extreme Rules.
RAW kicks off with Bray Wyatt as commentary builds up the Fatal 5 Way match at Extreme Rules featuring Wyatt, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. Bray grabs a mic and goes on to talk about how he’s gonna go on to beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. He says he’ll “open the chest of the beast and feast on his heart.” Roman Reigns interrupts him and wants Bray out of his yard. Bray laughs and they have words before RAW GM Kurt Angle comes out stopping anything from going down. Kurt says that he likes Roman’s idea of him vs Wyatt and proposes the match to start right now.

We’re back with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns backstage following the chaos that went on before the break. Back as we see Sasha Banks walking backstage before being approached by Charly Caruso for a quick interview about her match with Alicia Fox from last week.
Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose vs Elias Samson his first match since coming up from NXT.
As Ambrose has his attention on The Miz, Samson attacks him from behind and lays him out with a snap swinging neckbreaker.
Before they cut to another commercial we see Big Cass and a ref walking backstage in a panic. The camera cuts to his partner Enzo Amore knocked out cold as they rush over to him and try to wake him up. Cass demands answers on what happened before they cut to commercial.
Back and we see that Enzo is trying to come to his senses as the refs and Big Cass try to see if he knows what happened. All Enzo remembers is that he was jumped and next thing he knows, he’s talking to them. They try to see if he can stand up but he struggles to do so which causes the refs to assist him. Kurt Angle tells him that he’ll find out who attacked him and Cass stares down Kurt letting him know he better find out who did before he does.
Balor tells Paul to warn Brock Lesnar that he’s coming for the championship he never lost.
Finn Balor vs Karl Anderson

Sasha celebrates her win but is stopped by Norm Dar. They exchange words and Dar attempts to go after Sasha but is slapped by her. Sasha taunts him but is attacked from behind by Alicia and laid out with Alicia’s version of a Scissors Kick.
Backstage we see Kalisto and Apollo Crews having what looks like to be a good conversation until Kalisto asks Apollo what’s going on with him and why he’s fighting Titus O’Neil’s battles. He questions if he attacked Enzo Amore but Apollo stops him and tells Kalisto that he knows him better than that. He’s pretty much hanging with Titus due to some connections. Speaking of Titus, he joins in on the conversation and figures Kalisto wants to join the Titus brand. Kalisto replies back in Spanish .

Bayley runs out to prevent Bliss from doing anymore damage to Mickie and trips Alexa up causing her to loose grip of the kendo stick. They both go after it with Bayley being the first to retrieve it but Alexa escapes before Bayley has the chance to use it. They show replays of the match as Bayley checks on Mickie while Alexa looks on from the entrance ramp.

Cut to the back with Kurt Angle looking on as Joe and Wyatt stare at Rollins. Finn Balor walks up to Kurt and congratulates him on a job well done but next time, don’t leave him out of the fun. He tells Kurt that he wants a match against one of his opponents for Extreme Rules next week but Kurt denies. Instead Kurt makes it a Triple Threat match between Finn,Samoa Joe, and Bray Wyatt and for the main event, Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns. Finn nods as tonight’s episode of RAW comes to a close.
Final thoughts on tonight’s show. Honestly enjoyed RAW tonight, couldn’t find anything wrong, boring, or sleep worthy with the show. Figured it’ll be boring without Braun Strowman running things every week but they’re keeping things interesting I’m sure most would agree that the match of the night was Balor vs Anderson. Was wondering if they’ll face each other on TV soon since they had matches a few weeks back during WWE’s tour overseas and was not disappointed with what I saw from both guys. Enjoyed the match from start to finish.
Personal RAW rating: A
