Dear Kobe Bryant,
Thank you for your words of reflection through experience. Especially with the public and private tribulations that have gone and may still continue to go on through your life. I was talking to a couple of friends and one brought up a great point about how classes teaching financial responsibility need to be provided by these leagues. I told him that to my knowledge there are provided. I believe one of the issues is literally becoming the bread winner for your family, I mean the whole family. How do you stay no to your own blood?
I had a mentor at my old job who said for me to be successful personally, I would have to learn how to say “no” I want to help out my whole family as well. I am currently trying to set myself up to be able to do that. I am not sure if the right people are by these athletes side and are truly looking out for their own good. What kind of education do these athletes have to understand how to handle this type money?
People look up to you and can learn so much about how to conduct themselves as a professional athlete whether on or off the court. So I would like to know how can athletes men or women literally learn from you. Do their respective player associations hold seminars? Are colleges and universities giving these athletes the education they really need? Are their agents and managers really looking out for them? Is Kobe Inc. going to have a branch where you mentor these athletes and other successful businessmen? I wanna personally learn and work with you if that is in store. People will listen to you because of not just who you are but because you are also an icon.
